My Body is Weird.
My urine sample could rob a bank in the old west any minute now! |
After finishing the round of antibiotics, I did a secondary urinalysis that came back - and I quote - "abnormal." Which made me imagine this:
So they did a whole bunch of tests. Sent my urine out for an in-depth culture which came back negative for recurrent infection and they still have no idea why my suspicious urine is abnormal, but it is. Also: they did a full blood work up on me and except for a few numbers being a little high, most things appear normal.
And yet.
Things are so not.
To quote Dr. X: "Your system is clearly out of whack."
Out of whack is a very clinical term, btw.
I have a pelvic ultrasound coming up just over a week because there's nothing more fun than invasive vaginal exams. They want to check out all the plumbing: ovaries, uterus, bladder, all of it.
So...
oh wow, i hope everything will turn out to be fine. wishing you strength for the exam.. maybe i can make things better with a sunshine award? ^^
ReplyDeletehahaha your suspicious urine made me lol
ReplyDeleteAlso ... I'm in the same "mysterious pain weird feelings" unknown medical area too ... it SUCKS. I hate not knowing what's happening.
ReplyDeleteLove the little graphics of your urine (such a weird thing to say!)
ReplyDeleteI hope they find the cause! It's weird to me when doctors can't figure it out right away because I feel like we live in an age of "been there done that" everything documented kind of age. I know that is an unrealistic expectation...
UGH!!! Trans-vaginal ultrasounds are THE WORST! I only got pregnant thanks to fertility medicine, which included twice weekly TV-Ultrasounds. Once I got knocked up, I thought I was free and clear of that damn probe, but, oh no, I was subjected to TV's for 12 more weeks (despite my protests of not wanting ANY ultrasounds because I felt it was bad for baby)
ReplyDeleteI hope the mystery is quickly solved, though. It's beyond stressful to not know what's going wrong. Although a diagnosis can also be stressful, at least at that point you have a place to work from to manage and/or fix the issue(s). I'll be sending good vibes your way.
Oh, and your urine illustrations are epic.
Aww good luck with everything! :/
ReplyDeleteHaha I laughed at "abnormal" urine. For realsies though I'm sorry about your upcoming tests. I've had the transvaginal wand a few times during this pregnancy. It's not too bad. Not great, but there are definitely worse things. Thinking of you!
